How to get to the Comox Valley and Mount Washington
The Comox Valley is centrally located on the East side of Vancouver Island, approx 3 hours North of Victoria and 1 hour North of Naniamo. Although there is a network of roads and highways through out the island and it is only accesible by sea or air.
Ferry Transportation - Vehicle and Non-Vehicle
To access Vancouver Island by car or as a passenger you will have to take a Ferry from either Horseshoe Bay (in West Vancouver, this terminal is the closest to Whistler) or Tawassen outside of Vancouver. Fares and schedules for BC Ferries are available on thier website at BC FERRIES.
Non-Vehicle passenger
If you have reached the island as a "non-vehicle" passenger on the ferry, transportation up the island to the Comox Valley, can be easily obtained by visiting the following sites:

* Please note the only public transportation up Mount Washington is the Mount Washington bus which only runs once a day.
Air transportation
The Comox Valley boasts an International Airport with flights arriving and departing daily from Vancouver and within Canada. It is possible to connect from Vancouver International Airport directly to Comox Valley Airport. The Comox Valley (YQQ) and Campbell River (YBL) Airports are serviced daily by Pacific Coastal Airlines from Vancouver. HeliJet offers service between Vancouver and Victoria and Central Mountain Air is a regional carrier for British Columbia and services Campbell River from several cities.

How to get to Mount Washington
Mount Washington is located 25 km west of the Comox Valley, 50 km south of Campbell River and 100 km north of Nanaimo, on Vancouver Island.
With the Inland Island Highway it’s faster than ever to drive there (Exit 130) and it’s paved all the way to the top!
Please Note: The road up to Mount Washington, Strathcona Parkway, requires good winter tires OR that you carry chains with you.
